The Challenge

The organization had a vision for connecting small businesses with verified service providers based on real business needs, but no technical roadmap to get there. Their team had no prior experience in tech product development, and existing directory-style solutions lacked the nuance to match on actual operational challenges.

What I Built

Partnered with organizational leadership to define requirements and scope the product from scratch. Led the team through the full build cycle, guiding non-technical stakeholders through product development decisions. Built a web application with a business health assessment tool that evaluates financial management, operations, and marketing needs, then matches businesses with providers using a transparent scoring algorithm. The system encrypts all assessment data and uses it solely for matching. Includes an authenticated staff dashboard for cooperative administrators.

How It Works

Business owners take a guided assessment. The matching algorithm scores their needs against provider specialties. They receive ranked provider recommendations with clear reasoning for each match. From there, they connect directly with matched providers. Staff manage the platform through an authenticated dashboard.

Results

Production application deployed and serving the organization's network with authenticated staff access. Privacy-first architecture delivered.
